One day when I was drawing the Horton Mill Covered Bridge I thought about a friend that had a Hardware store in Sneed Alabama Mr. Tommy Roberts. I had spent most of the cool morning drawing and as I went north on Hwy 75 the first house past the Bridge on the left I saw this lady working in her flower bed. What a picture she would make flitted through my mind as I drove past. About three miles later I turned around and went back to find she was still working her tulips.

Her bonnet is home made every stitch by her hand and her dress was also the product of her effort. I found Ms Mary to be very kind as she let me work on a pencil drawing to record what you see here. Sometimes the best of life is when you go back to get what you know would have been good.
