Early one morning I found myself visiting around the camp site of a civil war reenactment. People were just rolling up to get the day started. Campfires with bacon, and eggs cooking filled the air with a most delicious smell.
No one seemed to be in a rush to get the day started. Someone I could not see was playing a harmonica which gave you a feeling of realism. Weapons were stacked outside the tents like the poles of an Indian tepee.
Officers were gathered in a tent at a table with maps working on the plans for the coming battle. Nothing was just what I was looking for, and then at the end of the camp I found this Confederate soldier as you see him here. Just outside the main camp beyond the rumble of a waking army was this one man with the horses.
